Listen as Golden Hawk and Allan discuss Allan’s discovery of don Miguel Ruiz and the Toltec Path in 1995. Allan also shares how we were “domesticated” into repressing our feelings, denying out truth, and pleasing the people around us— and how the Toltec Tools of Transformation can return us to the truth of our nature as pure love and consciousness. One gem in this interview is the conversation about the need of children (and adults) to freely discharge feelings in the loving presence of someone who will not judge them, and how it can lead us to living in the joy of each present moment.

Allan encourages us to avoid the Trap of Spiritual Perfection, and embrace our innate perfection in every moment. He shares his experience with talking to the many characters in our minds-- the Judge, Victim Child, and others-- how they are created in our minds during childhood, and how they manifest in adult relationships.

The interview concludes with a quick look at Allan’s work with “New Relationship ~ Five Agreements That Make Love Come True.” He describes to Golden Hawk how children are made to agree that Love is a commodity outside of themselves that they have to bargain for by being good and pleasing their parents.
